Where do Indramat spare parts come from?
There’s a simple answer to this question, but it has a complicated history.
Indramat was an innovative motion ontrol control company established in Germany in 1958. The name Indramat stood for “Gesellschaft zur INDustrialisierung-RAtionalisierung und AutoMATisierung“ (Association for Industrialization, Rationalization, and Automation).
Indramat had some important new ideas, including the world’s first maintenance-free AC servomotor, brushless servos, and shaftless virtual drive synchronization technology.
While Indramat was making technology history, Rexroth wanted to add electric motion control to its powerful hydraulic offerings. In 1965, Rexroth acquired Indramat. In 2001, Robert Bosch acquired Rexroth, including Indramat, which had become the electric drive and control arm of Rexroth.
You might have machinery labeled “Rexroth Indramat” as well as machinery labeled “Indramat.” You might also have machinery labeled “Rexroth” or “Bosch Rexroth.” It’s all the same thing.
So where do spare Indramat parts come from?
Only from the Bosch Rexroth factory.
Factory repair and factory reman for Indramat components are still available even though Indramat as a company has not existed for decades. We facilitate factory repair and factory reman for Indramat components. We also have the nation’s largest assortment of remanufactured replacement parts available for the fastest turnaround, to get you back up and running with as little downtime as possible.
Bosch Rexroth is the only source of spare Indramat parts. Bosch Rexroth is also the source of new, state of the art replacements for your Indramat components if they are at the end of their useful lives.
What about third-party repairs?
You might find a local handyman who is willing to give repairs for your Indramat components a shot.
Hold on. Bosch Rexroth is the only source for spare parts. Bosch Rexroth does not supply spare parts to third-party shops. So where will that local handyman get the parts to repair your machinery?
They won’t be new, original parts. That’s for sure. We’ll leave the rest up to your imagination.
We don’t have to imagine it, because we have seen the cobbled-together results of third-party repairs.
