The Perils of Panic and a Temporary Indramat Repair

We’ve all been in panic situations. Something unexpectedly goes wrong, your stress levels surge, and you make some hasty decisions. Sometimes these quick decisions are based on what can get you out of panic mode the fastest rather than what’s the best long term solution. It’s tempting to default to a quick, temporary fix, but you should always choose a proper Indramat repair.

Quick reactions can save the day in dire situations. If your boat springs a leak, throwing a patch on the hull and diligent bailing can get you to shore. Of course, you don’t rely on that temporary patch for the rest of your life. Instead you do a proper, permanent repair as soon as possible, and absolutely before your next voyage.

The same applies to Indramat repair. Maybe the blower goes out on your Indramat servo, or the climate control in your cabinets stops controlling the climate. In a panic, you throw the cabinet door open and rig up an array of cheap box fans to keep your servos cool. This can give you a little breathing room, but it doesn’t qualify as an Indramat repair.

In fact, this quick fix can actually end up causing more problems down the line. Not only do you have to replace the defective fan or the cabinet climate control, but you also have to replace the motor because those box fans ending up caking the servo in grime, which caused your motor to overheat.

Now, your faced with extended downtime that could have been prevented with a proper Indramat repair.

The thing about panic is that it prevents you from thinking clearly. It’s important to remember, however, that a quick fix almost always ends up costing you more in the long run. It’s always better to fix your problem the right way rather than rely on a temporary solution you came up with in a panic.
