DDS drives go with MKD and MDD motors. They’re modular and stackable, so you can build a powerful drive and run it with a single power source.
All DDS drives are rapid-response, suited to printing, textiles, machine tools, and similar high-powered applications.
The DDS02.1-W200-D type code of DDS drive has a rated 200A current. It’s air cooled with internal air flow. It will dissipate heat with the use of a cooled cabinet. This model type has digital servo feedback. It can only be used with motors using the same feedback method.
The software is also modular. It contains both firmware and drive parameters. Firmware is separate from the drive, and the software is configured separately. This means that if you need to replace your DDS02.1-W200-D you can just plug in the software and carry over the configuration.
This is one of the great advantages of using Indramat components. Since they are modular and designed for fast replacement, you can limit downtime significantly.
Downtime is often the most costly part of a machine service call. Being able to replace the faulty unit quickly and get back to work is key to managing costs.
Trying to find a bargain and spending time in trial and error can cause your costs to spiral out of control. It’s more sensible to start with a reliable replacement unit and the correct software.
Where can you find a replacement unit?
Indramat no longer exists as a company. They were acquired by Rexroth in the 20th century. If you buy a unit on eBay or from some other thrid-party source, you will be buying a used unit.
The alternative is factory repair or reman. Units that have been repaired and refurbished at the Rexroth factory are in like-new condition, with a warranty. We keep emergency replacement units on hand so we can get a unit out to you quickly. Charter plane service gets your factory repaired unit to you very fast for minimal downtime.
Your faulty unit goes to the factory for repair. You can return the emergency replacement unit — or keep it and let your remanufactured unit replace it in our stock.
