When your Indramat servos stop working you need to fix them as quickly as possible. Of course, you also need a high quality repair. A rushed patch job won’t do you any favors. There are lots of companies out there claiming to be Indramat repair experts. Some are good and some are bad, so how do you know which ones to trust? Be aware of these red flags when seeking out Indramat repair.
OEM Indramat parts
Bosch Rexroth – the company that now owns the Indramat name – does not sell parts to third parties. This helps control quality and maintains Indramat’s reputation for making some of the world’s best motion control systems.
If a third party repair shop claims that they will personally repair your equipment with original Indramat parts, run away.
Authorized Indramat repair
There’s no such thing as an authorized Indramat repair shop. In the same way that Indramat products aren’t sold to third parties, Indramat does not authorize, certify, or affiliate third parties for repair.
The only way to get a authorized Indramat repair is through factory repair.
Brand new Indramat servomotors
“Brand new Indramat servos” – or any other “brand new” Indramat component – is a contradiction. There’s no such thing as a new servo when they haven’t been produced in nearly 2 decades.
Legacy Indramat parts always in stock.
It’s possible to have legacy Indramat units in stock – we have the largest supply of Indramat emergency replacement units in the U.S.
This means that we can provide you with a replacement unit while yours is fixed. But to have all legacy units permanently in stock for sale is a little fishy. If you see “in stock” but you can’t add an item to your cart, be wary.
