A Look at Indramat Motors

If you’re looking for information about Indramat motors, there’s a good chance that you are in need of motor repair or that you need to replace your motor. It’s not because Indramat motors aren’t well made. In fact, it’s the opposite.

All Indramat components are burly and well built. If you’re still running a system that uses Indramat parts, it’s possible that your machinery is older than some of your technicians. But the Indramat name hasn’t been used since 2001, meaning that your motor with that Indramat stamp is a legacy part. Legacy parts are no longer made, which means that they are often hard to find, and when something goes wrong repair is your best option.

Of course, we do have the largest supply of replacement Indramat parts in the U.S., so when you need a new legacy component, we’re the people to call. But more often than not, repair is the best option, and by getting the proper repairs done, you can extend the lifetime of your motor.

Replacing a motor can be expensive, and you can save money by repairing the motor instead. Here’s a look at the different types of Indramat motors that we can repair, replace, or reman for you.

MSK motors – MSK servo motors, otherwise known as IndraDyn S, were designed with longevity in mind. These motors are used with the IndraDrive series of drives.

MKD motors – The MKD series is available in 5 different rotor diameters and can be used with DDS, DKS, DKC, HDS, and HDD drives.

MDD motors – MDD servo motors are all about versatility. This series comes in 9 different rotor diameters and are sued with DDS and DKS servodrives.

2AD motors – 2AD servos have been around for several decades. Typically your best bet with these motors is a factory repair.

MAC motors – As with 2AD motors, MAC motors require a factory repair for the best results.
